Shawn Gillespie
Founder
Shawn Gillespie brings nearly two decades of experience across accounting, finance, and executive search. He began his career at KPMG in audit and advisory, serving clients including Mazda, Panasonic, and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, before moving into interim and consulting work with Fortune 1000 companies such as Chrysler, Johnson & Johnson, Hilton, and Wells Fargo. He has also served as an Assistant Controller, meaning he has held the roles he now fills and knows what the work actually demands.
Shawn holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. Through The Oliver Group, he partners with companies, CPA firms, and professional services organizations across California and nationwide, placing professionals in accounting, tax, audit and risk, and finance leadership roles from Manager through the executive level.
Raised in the Midwest, Shawn now lives in Southern California. Outside of work he enjoys time with family and friends, staying active, and traveling the country in his RV.
