Privacy Policy
Effective October 10, 2026
The Oliver Group LLC (“The Oliver Group,” “we,” “us”) is a contingency recruiting firm based in Orange County, California, placing accounting, finance, tax and risk professionals. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and CFO Recruit, the private recruiting system we use to run our searches.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, contact details, resume, work history, compensation expectations, and anything else you share when you apply, email, call, text or speak with us.
- Professional information from public sources: details from public professional profiles (such as LinkedIn) and company websites, used to identify and contact candidates and clients.
- Communications: emails, texts, voicemails, call records, calendar invitations and notes related to our recruiting work.
- Website data: basic technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) collected by our website host and analytics tools.
How we use it
- To match candidates with job opportunities and to present qualified candidates to clients.
- To communicate with candidates and clients about searches, interviews and offers.
- To keep accurate records of our recruiting activity.
We never share a candidate’s resume or details with a client without the candidate’s permission. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google account data (CFO Recruit)
CFO Recruit is an internal application used only by The Oliver Group. With the account owner’s permission, it connects to our own Google accounts (Gmail, Google Calendar and the email notifications from Google Voice) so that recruiting emails, meetings, texts and voicemails appear alongside the right candidate or client record, and so we can send replies from those accounts.
- Google data is used only to provide these features to The Oliver Group. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with third parties except the service providers that host the application.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted. Message content is stored only as needed to show it in the application.
- Access can be removed at any time from the application’s settings or from the Google account’s security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).
CFO Recruit’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
QuickBooks data (CFO Recruit)
With the account owner’s permission, CFO Recruit connects to The Oliver Group’s own QuickBooks Online company to show our financial numbers, help with month-end bookkeeping and estimate taxes. It reads accounts, transactions and reports, and changes a transaction only after we approve that specific change.
QuickBooks data is used only to run our own business. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared except with the providers that host the application. Access tokens are stored encrypted, and the connection can be removed at any time from the application’s settings or from QuickBooks.
Where information is kept
Our recruiting records are stored with reputable cloud providers (including Cloudflare and Google) under access controls limited to The Oliver Group. We keep candidate information for as long as it is useful for current or future searches, unless you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. California residents may have additional rights under California law, and we will honor those requests. Email us and we’ll take care of it promptly.
